Elections Canada says Voter Information Cards are in the mail

Elections Canada says Voter Information Cards are in the mail, and registered voters should be getting them by the end of the month.

The cards show where people need to go to vote on October 19th, or in the advance polls, and for federal elections voters have to cast ballots at their assigned polling stations.

Dorothy Sitek of Elections Canada says people can also vote at Elections Canada offices from now until October 13th.

If you don’t get a Voter Information Card by October 1st, or if the card has incorrect information you should contact Elections Canada at 1-800-463-6868.

You can also find out about the new ID rules, register to vote or get the address of your nearest Elections Canada office at www.elections.ca
