Medical Health Officers: Start thinking about getting flu shot

The flu is already starting to make the rounds, and Medical Health Officers say now is a good time to start thinking about getting the flu shot.

The vaccine is said to be 30-50 per cent effective in fighting the H3N2 strain. Mid-Island MHO Dr. Paul Hasselback says that’s not bad.

Hasselback says the vaccine is also effective in fighting other strains of the flu, so it’s definitely worth getting.
