Automated curbside collection carts for Duncan expected to arrive soon

The roll-out of automated-curbside-collection in the City of Duncan is drawing nearer.

In his report to council on Monday evening, Chief Administrative Officer Peter de Verteuil, said the new carts have now been manufactured and are expected to arrive in Duncan shortly.

Distribution of the carts to each residence in the city is expected to take place in August and the launch of automated collection at the curb is set for September 9th.

In addition to dropping off the carts, a brochure on how to use the carts will be delivered to each home.

There is information on the automated-curbside-collection program available on the Big Conversations website for Duncan and more will be added online during the roll out period.

Duncan residents can view the 100 litre grey garbage cart and the 240 litre blue recycling cart in the front foyer at City Hall.
