Former MP to join administration team at Cowichan Tribes

Former Cowichan-Malahat-Langford MP Alistair MacGregor will become the new Chief Administrative Officer at Cowichan Tribes.

Chief Cindy Daniels says MacGregor has accepted a one-year term as CAO beginning on August 5, 2025.

Chief Daniels says the CAO position is pivotal in bridging the work of the Chief and Council with operations, programing, and service delivery.

She says MacGregor’s experience in Ottawa will help them work with all levels of government to attain a higher quality of life for their people.

MacGregor says he looks forward to helping Cowichan Tribes move priorities forward, particularly in the area of self-governance, housing, and environmental stewardship.

MacGregor served as MP for Cowichan-Malahat-Langford from 2015 to 2025.
