VIU participating in “The World Remembers” project

Vancouver Island University is participating in an international project to remember the men and women who lost their lives during World War One.

Dr Stephen Davies coordinates The Canadian Letters & Images Project at VIU. He says The World Remembers project is a five-year endeavor, making 100 years since the war.

Davies says they’re showing the names on a large-screen TV at th Nanaimo campus. The screen can be seen from the courtyard outside the welcome centre, for 11 hours every night.

Hundreds of institutions in 12 different countries are participating in The World Remembers.
