Duncan church trying to bring Syrian refugee family to Cowichan Valley

The Duncan United Church is trying to bring a Syrian refugee family to the Cowichan Valley in 2016.

Minister Keith Simmonds says the church is currently raising the $30,000 needed to relocate them.

He says they are staying at a refugee camp in Lebanon at the moment.

Simmonds says people can help the cause by donating money or helping out the family once they get to Vancouver Island. He says they will have to be shown around and introduced to the community.
