Nanaimo’s Tilray is optimistic a new recreational cannabis policy in Canada will also be a positive for the medical marijuana industry.

The Liberals have pledged to legalize and regulate marijuana for recreational use.

Tilray CEO Greg Engel says US states that have gone that route, have seen significant growth in the number of people using it for medical purposes.


Engel says they hope the Liberals will recognize the medical value of marijuana, and support increased patient access.
