A pair of local mayors are looking forward to seeing how a majority Liberal government will help infrastructure in municipalities.
Duncan’s Phil Kent and North Cowichan’s Jon Lefebure say it’s encouraging to hear the Feds will look to improve bridges, roads, flood control, etc.
Kent says municipalities depend on funding and Duncan is no different.
Lefebure says a good relationship between the federal government and province will be key.
Leading up to the election, Justin Trudeau and the Liberals promised to run deficits to help fund billions in infrastructure spending.
