Malahat Canada Post office closure extended until end of October

What was supposed to be an eight-week closure of the Canada Post office at the Centex gas station on the Malahat has now been extended.

The post office shut down on July 2 for renovations and, as of September 22, remains closed. Canada Post says it is now targeting the end of October for reopening.

In the meantime, customers can pick up their mail at the Shawnigan Lake Post Office, located at 2741 Shawnigan Lake Road. Hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A piece of valid government-issued photo ID is required when collecting mail.
