Early morning quake north of Saanich Inlet leaves no damage

If you felt a shake early this morning around the Gulf Islands, it was a 3.1 magnitude earthquake off the Saanich Peninsula. 

According to Earthquake Canada, the shaking began roughly around 5:30 this morning and the quake was at a depth of 16 kilometres. 

There has been no damage reported from the quake, and no tsunami is expected.
