Sports Wall of Fame welcomes six new inductees

The North Cowichan-Duncan Sports Wall of Fame has welcomed six new members.

Every two years, athletes who have made significant contributions to athletics locally, in B.C., across Canada or internationally are recognized for their efforts.

Mayor Rob Douglas said welcoming new inductees and recognising them for their contributions is a proud moment for the community and shows how inspirational they are.

“The Sports Wall of Fame has become a celebrated tradition and a powerful reminder of the talent, dedication and spirit that defines our community,” he said. “This year’s inductees have inspired us through their achievements and contributions, and we’re so proud to celebrate their legacy to sports.”

This year’s inductees are Michael Braithwaite, Joe DiLalla, Kim Dillabaugh, Nick Gilbert, Norman Jackson and Leanne Wilkinson.
