It’s flu clinic season on the Island

Island Health’s annual flu clinics are underway.

Medical Health Officers say they haven’t seen much flu activity yet, but that’s no reason to wait to get a shot.

Last flu season Island Health provided more than 215-thousand people vaccinations.

The health authority’s Val Wilson says the clinics are aimed at vaccinating as many people who are eligible for a free shot as possible.
