Man facing charges after jumping from BC Ferry, breaking into home naked

RCMP now say they’ve charged a man who jumped fromĀ a BC Ferry in Active Pass on Wednesday night.

BC Ferries says a man in his 20s inflated one of the big life rafts on the Coastal Celebration and jumped overboard.

Outer Gulf Islands RCMP say as their officers were heading out to help with the search, a call came in from a woman on Galiano. She was frantic and told police a naked, incoherent, man was in her house throwing furniture.

The suspect then ran to a nearby resort and broke into a cabin.

He faces charges for those incidents, and RCMP say BC Ferries will also be pursuing charges.
