VIAHA extends deadline for mandatory online respect workshop

The Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association has extended its deadline for parents to take a mandatory online respect workshop.

The date got pushed back because there were some technical issues with the course.

President Jim Humphrey says parents now have until the end of the day Friday.  But he says most have already taken the course.

Players whose parents don’t get the course done by Friday will be pulled until they do.

Humphrey also says there have been a few incidents this season, but the Association is now in a position to start banning unruly parents.
