Big crowds flock to local Remembrance Day ceremonies

Upwards of a thousand peopleĀ filled Duncan’sĀ Charles Hoey Park on Wednesday to honour those who fought, and continue to fight, as well as those who gave their lives for Canada.

Juice FM was there and caught up with aĀ few people to find out whatĀ Remembrance Day means to them.

Other ceremonies in the Cowichan Valley included ones in Ladysmith and Chemainus. The Cowichan Tribes also had their own ceremony which includedĀ a specially carved totem and canoe that will go to VIU.
