Deadlines approaching on two CVRD AAPs

Deadlines are coming soon a pair of Alternate Approval Processes in the Cowichan Valley Regional District.

AAP’s are way for taxpayers to have their say on spending, without the need for a referendum.

Those opposed to the plan, have to submit a form to the CVRD by the deadline. If enough come out opposed the project won’t go forward.

The first deadline is on an AAP for a 130 thousand dollar a year Arts & Culture Initiative.

John Elzinga is the CVRD’s GM of Community Services.

The deadline for that AAP is Wednesday at 4:30 pm.

There’s also a December 2nd deadline for an AAP on a Cowichan Flood Management plan.

All the details are at cvrd.bc.ca
