Police looking for driver of minivan after Duncan cyclist hit on TCH

Police are looking for the driver of a minivan after a 60-year-old Duncan cyclist was struck in what appears to be a hit-and-run.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP say the incident happened around 4pm on November 14th and video footage shows that an elderly person driving a silver/champagne minivan could be a suspect.

They say the man that was hit was taken to Cowichan District Hospital with unknown injuries.

Police say witnesses told them he was riding his bike southbound on the TCH when he was struck by the northbound vehicle, which was turning left near Dobson Road.

Anybody with information about the incident is asking to contact the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP.
