Duncan Council laying the groundwork for participation in committee on amalgamation/boundary changes

Duncan and North Cowichan could be trying something different as the municipalities explore the possibility of amalgamation or boundary changes

Duncan Mayor Phil Kent says his Council will be looking at the idea of a special committee to get things started, when they meet November 30th.


Kent says they’re still trying to figure out if the study can be completed during their current term.

He says Councillors Michelle Bell and Michelle Staples have been recommended as the Duncan Council representatives on the proposed Amalgamation Study Task Force.
