The Chair of the Nanaimo-Ladysmith School Board is currently in an Intensive Care Unit.
SD68 says Steve Rae was admitted to hospital on Saturday, December 5th. The District didn’t disclose his medical condition.
Officials say Board Vice-Chair Stephanie Higginson will assume the position in his absence.
Rae has come under a bit of fire recently after pictures of him giving the finger while at a local bar circulated on social media. He has since apologized for the rude gesture.
