Oak Bay-Gordon Head MLA named new BC Green Party leader

Andrew Weaver has been acclaimed as leader of the BC Green Party.

The Oak Bay-Gordon Head MLA is taking the reins from Adam Olsen, who has served as interim leader since August of 2013.

Weaver says the political landscape looks promising.

Weaver says that means there’s no middle ground in BC, leaving lots of room for the Greens to position themselves as a viable third option for voters.

He says they’re going to take a moderate, people-focused approach and listen to what BC residents really want.
