Shawnigan Lake RCMP are investigating the death of a dog in a residential area of Cobble Hill.
Cst. Patrick Delano says on Sunday they received a phone informing them the small dog had been shot.
The dog was discovered on its owners property, and was put down as a result of injuries sustained in the shooting.
Shawnigan Lake RCMP are asking anyone with information on the shooting to contact the detachment or Crime stoppers.
