RCMP in the Cowichan Valley to host recruiting session

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are looking for people interested in becoming Mounties.

Constable Pam Casey is with the detachment. She says they’re holding a recruiting information session on Wednesday (April 15th) in Duncan.

Casey says policing, especially with the RCMP, has some challenges that potential recruits need to keep in mind

The session will be taking place in the boardroom of the Cowichan Tribes Lands Building at 6:30pm.

RCMP say all people need to bring is their curiosity, and the presentation will:

•Provide you with the details of the recruiting process
•Outline the requirements and expectations for applying and becoming an RCMP officer
•Detail step-by-step instructions on how to prepare for each stage
•Allow you to hear, first-hand, from one of our police officers about the exciting and challenging career that awaits you.
