Shawnigan Lake residents and their supporters are rallying at the Legislature Wednesday; to demand better protection of the area’s drinking water.
It’s the latest move from opponents of South Island Aggregates plans for a contaminated soil dump.
CVRD Director Sonia Furstenau is one of the protest organizers. She says they’ll also be presenting a petition to MLAs.
The demonstration is set to start around 11am on the front lawn of the Legislature.
