Malahat LNG project could see plenty of public input

The people behind the Malahat LNG project say Wednesday’s open house is just the start of a long public input process.

Steelhead LNG’s Marissa Nobauer says a project website will be launching soon and an office will be going up in Mill Bay later this year.

She says the office will give the community a place to ask questions or raise concerns.

The meeting starts at 6pm at the Malahat Nation’s Cultural Resource Centre in Mill Bay

Steelhead LNG and the Malahat Nation announced a partnership to build an LNG terminal in Bamberton last month. The project also includes plans for a pipeline across Georgia Strait.
