The Maple Bay Beach is now under an advisory.
Recent testing has indicated that bacteria is above the acceptable limits and people should refrain from swimming and wading.
This advisory comes after consultation with Island Health.
Beach advisory signs will be posted at the Spring Street and Peters Lane beach accesses.
