Suspect arrested and charged in 2022 Duncan stabbing

One man is in custody after the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) made an arrest yesterday in connection with a homicide investigation in 2022.

Todd White, 53, resides in Duncan and was arrested without incident.

The police say he will face a charge of manslaughter.

Police were called out on July 16, 2022, for a report of an injured man on the street in the downtown area of Duncan.

A two-block radius was cordoned off around Kenneth and Jubilee Streets to allow North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP and the VIIMCU to gather evidence and investigate the scene.

Police say because the case is now before the courts, no further comment will be made.
