North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP arrest second kidnapping suspect

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP have arrested a second suspect in connection with an alleged kidnapping.
The 34-year-old man, who has no fixed address, was taken into custody on February 25th and remains behind bars ahead of a court appearance on February 26th.
Police say the abduction was an isolated incident and that there is no risk to the public.
The incident happened on February 19th, when RCMP were alerted to a possible kidnapping near Queen’s Street in Duncan.
Surveillance footage allegedly showed two men assaulting and forcing a third man into a vehicle.
Later that day, officers located the suspect vehicle, arresting one man and seizing the car.
That suspect, Jamie Peckett, faces charges of kidnapping, assault with a weapon, and other offenses, and remains in custody.
