Nickelback announce Lake Cowichan concert for August 2025

Nickelback is making their long-awaited return to Vancouver Island this summer, performing at the Laketown Amphitheatre in Lake Cowichan on August 9.
It’s been 20 years since the band last played on the Island, and this highly anticipated show will feature special guests  The Glorious Sons  and  Sam Roberts Band .

At Laketown Ranch Music and Recreation Park near Youbou, organizers Wideglide Entertainment are preparing for a major summer concert with a capacity of 15,000 attendees. The venue, owned and operated by Wideglide Entertainment, is set to host the event. If the concert sells out, Nickelback will break the record for the largest paid attendance at a concert on Vancouver Island, surpassing the previous record of 13,500 attendees set by Eric Church at Sunfest in 2018.

Mike Hann of Wideglide Entertainment mentioned that the band is well aware of the significance of this performance and is determined to deliver an unforgettable show. “The production values Nickelback are bringing to the stage will be more than any other concert ever held at our site. It will be a level up, production-wise.”

Nickelback, known for massive hits like ‘How You Remind Me’ and ‘Photograph’, first broke onto the scene in 1995 and has remained a staple of Canadian rock.
Concertgoers can also catch a Kick-Off Party on August 8 at the Flats Stage, featuring Garret T. Willie and more artists to be announced.
Tickets and camping passes go on sale Friday, March 21, at 9 a.m.
