BC Ferries provides update on Crofton terminal upgrades

BC Ferries is making changes to the Crofton-Vesuvius Bay sailing schedule as construction continues at the Crofton terminal.

From Oct. 18 to Dec. 10, the 9:30 p.m. sailing from Vesuvius Bay and the 10 p.m. sailing from Crofton will be cancelled Sunday through Thursday.

A foot passenger-only water taxi will be provided for the final round trip. Friday and Saturday sailings will not be affected.

BC Ferries said the terminal upgrades include a new lay-by berth and improvements to the existing berth and trestle structures.

The project is expected to support two-ship service in 2027 and increase vehicle capacity by 20 per cent.

A seven-day berth closure is also tentatively planned for Jan. 17 to 24, 2027. Regular service on the route is expected to be suspended during that period.
