Traffic delays expected through North Cowichan watermain replacement project

North Cowichan commuters should expect road work and minor delays starting Oct. 13.

The municipality will replace the aging watermain on Victoria Street and Mill Street from Oct. 13 to Nov. 6.

Work will take place weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Drivers can expect alternating single-lane traffic, flaggers and increased construction activity. Driveway access may also be limited or temporarily closed as the work progresses.

North Cowichan is asking drivers to follow posted signs and traffic-control instructions and allow extra time for their trips.
