Cowichan Valley parents are being urged to check their children’s Halloween candy after a sewing needle was found in a treat.
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP issued the warning after the needle was discovered in candy collected by a child trick-or-treating in the area.
“Thankfully, the needle was found before anyone was hurt,” said RCMP.
Police said the child had been trick-or-treating on Lane Road, between Drinkwater Road, Herons Way, Highfield Road and Westview Street.
Parents are being asked to report anything suspicious to RCMP.
