A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged with a suspicious death on Saltspring Island early last month.
Martin Galen Vandenberg has been charged with second-degree murder of his mother.
On Friday, the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit arrested the man without incident.
Vandenberg is expected in court on Tuesday.
