City of Duncan announces annual water main flushing: March 17 – May 30, 2025

The City of Duncan will begin its annual water main flushing program on March 17, 2025, continuing through to May 30, 2025.

Each spring, the city performs this important maintenance to ensure the cleanliness and quality of the municipal water system. Water is flushed through the distribution pipes and out of fire hydrants to remove any built-up sediment that naturally accumulates over time. This proactive measure helps maintain a high standard of water quality for all residents and businesses.

What to Expect

  • Temporary water discoloration may occur during flushing.
  • If you notice discolored water, simply run a cold-water tap until the water clears.
  • City crews will place sandwich boards near active flushing sites daily to keep residents informed.
