The Municipality of North Cowichan and the Cowichan Aquatic Centre are seeking feedback to help streamline the delivery of swimming lessons in the region.
Community members are invited to share feedback through a follow-up survey on swim lessons and pool access.
The municipality said feedback from a previous survey helped identify key pressure points, including high demand for lessons, challenges navigating registration, and varying needs for lesson times and formats.
The follow-up survey aims to explore potential changes to registration processes, lesson schedules and availability, and pool space allocation.
“Feedback heard through this process will help inform recommended changes to how swim lessons are scheduled, the way registrations are done and if any changes are required for pool use schedules,” said a statement from the municipality.
Data from the municipality shows more than 2,500 people participated in 431 swim classes at the aquatic centre in 2025.
The survey is available on the municipality’s website and closes June 7.
