Sentencing delayed

Sentencing was supposed to take place today (Mon) for Lorna Paige, but it’s been delayed until May 22nd.

Paige, a member of the Cowichan Tribes, pled guilty last month to a charge of failing to stop at an accident scene involving death.

Her case stems from the April 1st, 2012 death of 17 year old Daniel Hopkins.

In the early morning hours of that day, Hopkins was found lying injured on Boys Road, he was taken to hospital but died later that evening.

Paige turned herself in to police a day later.
