Five North Cowichan firefighters deployed to interior to assist B.C. Wildfire Service

More firefighters from the Cowichan Valley are lending their expertise to help combat wildfires in B.C.’s Interior.

The Municipality of North Cowichan said five members of its fire department and two trucks have been deployed to the Interior to support B.C. Wildfire Service crews.

The deployment follows similar efforts from the Duncan and Lake Cowichan fire departments.

The municipality said it regularly deploys crews and equipment where they are needed during wildfire season.
