A Duncan resident is asking the community to help fill her two vehicles with donations to take to the evacuation centre in Kamloops.
Colleen Marsel says the evacuation centre has provided her with a list of items that would be appreciated by people who have had to leave their homes.
Marsel also raises funds locally for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and says the Cowichan Valley community is always extremely generous.
They are not accepting clothing or big items.
