A Nanaimo police dog is being credited with finding a missing 67 year old woman who was lost in the forest.
The woman was reported missing more than a week ago and it wasn’t until a boy, out dirt biking with friends, was able to help crack the case when he found her abandoned car.
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP Corporal Krista Hobday says an unusual chain of events resulted in the woman being found 4 days after she went missing….

With no track or scent detected near her car, Boomer, the police dog detected a scent 5 hours later.
The woman was found over an embankment in obvious discomfort 2 kilometers from her car.
