That’s according to Deputy Chief Chris Doyle of the Conservation Officer Service who says snow can cover up a bear’s natural food source, so the animals may step up their efforts to pack on some calories….
There have been numerous enforcement activities by C-O’s over the past few months including the conviction of a Richmond man for trafficking in bear parts.
He was ordered to pay more than 17,000 dollars in fines.
