The Cowichan Valley Grape Escape is getting ready to roll for another year.
It’s a little later than usual this year, going on July 23rd and 24th and it’s still accepting participants.
The annual bike tour raises money for the MS Society of Canada.
Cyclist Kevin James says he got involved after his wife was diagnosed with the disease and he felt helpless…..
Riders in the tour can choose between a number of routes based on their ability and have to raise a minimum of 400 dollars to participate.
James, however is exceptional, having raised more than 575,000 during his 16 years participating.
He says he, not only enjoys cycling, but also discovered he enjoys fundraising as well…
Canada has the highest rate of multiple sclerosis in the world.
It is one of the most common neurological diseases affecting young adults in Canada.
