The B.C. Legislature will be recalled Thursday, June 22nd.
That’s according to a statement released by B.C. Government House Leader Mike de Jong.

He says the first order of business will be the election of a speaker.

Retired political science professor with VIU, Alan Warnke says that process won’t be without complications…..
Warnke says, as a rule, in the event of a tie vote in the Legislature, the speaker will side with the government of the day not matter what their political stripes are.
De Jong says following that order of business the government will seek to determine if it has confidence of the house.
