The City of Duncan says starting today and for the next couple of weeks there will be work happeningĀ along Canada Avenue to remove the existing cedar hedge and install new landscaping.
We asked Mayor Phil Kent whatĀ is the purposeĀ of the 50 thousand dollar landscaping initiative.
Kent says theĀ workĀ will cause very little disruption toĀ motorists and locations where it does there will be traffic controllers.
He adds the ground landscaping will be drought resistantĀ plantings while the trees in the long term will not need irrigation.
