A 4 year old girl has died following an incident at the Paradise Adventure RV Resort in Parksville.
RCMP say around 2:30 yesterday (Wed) afternoon the girl was riding a skateboard while lying on her stomach on the board.
She lost control and found herself in front of a vehicle that was moving slowly through the campground when she was struck.
One of the first people to assist was an off-duty doctor and as emergency crews were preparing to board an air ambulance about an hour after the collision, the girl died.
RCMP are still investigating.
