The Canada C3 journey aims to give select Canadians new perspectives, trigger unexpected connections and spark fresh ideas on how to build a better Canada.
The centrepiece of the initiative is an epic 150-day sailing journey from Toronto to Victoria via the Northwest Passage and the vessel is due to arrive in our vicinity this weekend.
Graham Sakaki, the research and community engagement coordinator for the Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere Region Research Insitute at VIU says the ship and her crew will arrive in the Nanoose region where they’ll be divided into two groups with one learning more about a local garden….
The sailing journey is due to wrap up in Victoria next Saturday.
