The province is considering a increase to the minimum wage.
Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training and Minister Responsible for Labour Shirley Bond says the province expects to announce a minimum wage increase this spring, with the new rate coming into effect Sept. 15 of this year.
She says the government hopes to strike a balance to ensure the population of BC can share in our province’s success while not impeding a businesses’ ability to grow.
