The NDP are saying the B.C. Liberals have copied the “big ticket” items from the B.C. NDP platform, but they’ve refused to adopt the revenue measures designed to pay for them.
Those were modest tax hikes on profitable corporations and the richest two per cent.
In the meantime, NDP Leader John Horgan says the government needs to get to work and there are at least two very important issues that need to move forward now……
On education, a Parksville School District Trustee, Jacob Gair says Districts must pass a balanced budget by the end of June…..
On the opiod crisis, Leslie McBain, of Moms Stopping the Harm, says there are things government could be doing to help stem the flow of illicit drug deaths, but it all seems to be on hold. ….
The NDP are hoping for a confidence vote by at least Thursday of this week.
