Duncan's James Barber Fundraiser satisfies taste buds for good cause

The food and drinks at the James Barber Fundraiser at Duncan’s Old Firehouse Wine & Cocktail Bar were just as good as the cause.
Proceeds from Sunday’s event are going towards maintaining the Cowichan Green Community’s Teaching Kitchen.
The annual wining and dining experience was also held in memory of James Barber, a former valley resident and Canada’s late Urban Peasant.
Chef Dan Hudson of Hudson’s on First says the Teaching Kitchen is a valuable resource.
Joining Hudson was Ryan Zuvich of Hilltop Bistro, Pat Barber of Applejack Farm, Matt Horn of Cowichan Pasta, Rob Martin of The Old Firehouse as well as event organizer Bill Jones from Deerholme Farm.
The amount of money raised from the event is still being calculated.
