The Vancouver Island Real Estate Board has donated one thousand, one hundred and 77 dollars to the Cowichan Intercultural Society’s Syrian Refugee Fund.
The Board’s donation will be used to help support refugees resettling in the Cowichan Valley.
The Society offers a variety of services for refugees, including translation, interpretation, trauma support, employment support, settlement assistance, free English classes, and professional mentoring.

According to the Society, there are currently seven private sponsorships in the works, and up to 12 families are hoping to resettle here as Government-Assisted Refugees.
