The West Coast Men’s Support Society will be scaling back their services and closing their Cowichan Valley office.
Board member, Grant Waldman says it’s unfortunate because dozens of men were finding help at the centre which offered one-on-one peer counselling among other services…..
The Society had been operating in the Valley for about 4 years and had been funded by B.C. Gaming.
Waldman says that funding dried up after an audit turned up some issues that the Society tried to address and a change of leadership at the Gaming Commission.
