The public is invited to attend a cross placement ceremony Saturday or visit a cemetary in which veterans’ graves will be decorated, to honour their sacrifice and service of the Cowichan Valley’s many veterans.
Mike Bieling says these ceremonies, together with the formal Remembrance Day cenotaph services will honour the memories of all those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Ceremonies start at 1pm Saturday at Shawnigan Cemetary in Shawnigan Lake, followed by Mill Bay Methodist Church and then finally at St. Frances Xavier Roman Catholic Church.
